Kolkata: August rain surplus at 61%; seasonal count below par

After recording a deficit in June and July, Kolkata’s rain count has improved dramatically in August. The city has a 61% surplus till now this month, thanks to a mid-month deluge that brought nearly 200mm in just two days.
