Kol: 2-wheeler comes under train engine, explodes

A young motorcyclist died on the spot, his bike got stuck under the locomotive and was dragged for a while at Santragachhi after the two-wheeler was hit by the Hyderabad-bound East Coast Express on Friday, soon after the train left Howrah station. By the time the train came to a stop, the motorcycle’s petrol tank had ruptured and the sparks from the friction caused it to explode. A major mishap, however, was averted and there was no damage to the train. No passenger was injured.
