Kolkata: Armed goons barge into posh complex after eviction drive

Panic gripped the residents of Urbana — the city’s tallest residential complex off EM Bypass at Anandapur — on Saturday afternoon when a row over a hawker eviction drive turned ugly. Scores of outsiders led by a group of hawkers armed with sticks and bricks stormed into the premises as the housing complex authorities went on an eviction drive to build a new gate.
