Kolkata: Dengue alert after outbreak in Borough X

Dengue has set alarm bells ringing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation top brass after the civic body’s health wing recorded around 190 positive cases from New Alipore, Golf Green, Jodhpur Park, Jadavpur, Baghajatin, Regent Park, Ramgargh and Gangulibagan areas which fall under five wards in past three weeks. These wards constitute borough X which had been worst affected by outbreak of dengue last year. In fact, the dreaded disease claimed eight lives last year.
