Kolkata: Youths forced to hold ears, do squats in viral videos

Two purported videos showing two students — both allegedly present during the Jadavpur University violence or posted about the fracas on social media — have gone viral, raking up a controversy. Both clips show the youths being asked to apologize for their action while holding their ears. The Left Unity — a group of students and professionals across the city — has moved the Kolkata Police cyber cell, tagging them in the posts and lodging an official complaint. TOI couldn’t verify the authenticity of the videos.
