Dip in cracker stock triggers price rise in WB

Stocks of fireworks and crackers at this year’s Baazi Bazaar is less than half that of previous years. With Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu, the hub of fireworks manufacture in the country, shut for nearly four months, traders have been able to procure only 40% of goods they had ordered for this festive season. The decline in stocks has led to a 10%-15% hike in price of fireworks.
