Kolkata: Illegal crackers in markets, but cops have last laugh

The city rang in Chhoti Diwali in style on Saturday, but cops and illegal firecracker traders continued their cat-and-mouse game throughout the day. At Garfa, the cops found illegal firecrackers from the most unexpected place — an ambulance. The vehicle coming from Champahati was stopped at Abhishikta crossing and it was found to be carrying 40kg of illegal crackers.
