Kolkata: Showers likely to intensify today

Monsoon has bowed out of Kolkata last week but the lingering showers have made October wetter than June, the first monsoon month that clocked a huge 69% deficit in precipitation. With a low pressure striking yet again and showers set to intensify on Friday, the rain count for the month is set to climb further, said the Met office.
