‘Regulate vehicle registration to check pollution’

A report by IIT Kharagpur has suggested that prohibitive parking fees in some areas, regulating vehicle registration according to availability of road space, initiating variable parking fees and congestion fees to discourage use of private vehicles and more public and shared mode of transport can reduce city’s increasing air pollution.
