Teen gang-rape accused to be tried as an adult

Less than two months after a 36-year-old epilepsy patient was allegedly gang-raped after she walked out of a shelter home at Panchasayar late at night, the juvenile justice board on Wednesday ordered the 17-year-old minor — the main accused in the case — to be tried as an adult in the Alipore Children’s Court.
