Cops seek school help to build carpool database

The city police is going to meet representatives of several schools — especially those around Gariahat, Entally, Behala and Bansdroni — to seek their help in developing an updated database of all pool cars ferrying students. The cops said the original plan — having owners of private school buses and pool cars provide the OC of the local police station and DCP (traffic) with details of vehicles and the names of drivers — has not clicked since most of the drivers were temporary.
