Delhi on Mamata’s mind ahead of Odisha meeting

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed concern over the rising deaths caused by the violence in Delhi through a Facebook post. In what appears to be a sequel to her poem ‘Hell’ that she posted on Wednesday, Banerjee on Thursday wrote, “He came, he spoke and he left. My motherland kept burning. Disturbed, worried, troubled. The heart kept crying. Death toll kept mounting.” She began this post with a question mark. Banerjee did not add a subject to the pronoun.
