Calcutta high court says no to Matua Mela

The Calcutta High Court has prohibited the annual Matua Mela at Thakurnagar in North 24 Parganas that was slated to begin on March 21. Justice Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya directed the Gaighata police on Thursday to ensure that its order is implemented.
