Woman killed as vehicle rams bike in Kolkata

A 38-year-old homemaker riding pillion was killed after the bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Kidderpore flyover on Saturday night. Police said Sapu Rabidas, a resident of Karl Marx Sarani in Kidderpore, was taken to SSKM Hospital while severely bleeding from the head where she was declared dead on arrival. Cops are yet to track down the vehicle that hit the bike but have levelled the stringent IPC section of 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), apart from sections dealing with rash and negligent driving, against the driver.
