Cal HC acquits rape accused in jail since 2014

The Calcutta HC on Friday acquitted a man in prison since 2014 after an East Midnapore court sentenced him to life behind bars for raping a minor. The HC, while acquitting person, said the state has been unable to prove the charges beyond “reasonable doubt”.
