East-West Metro tunnelling resumes at Bowbazar

East-West Metro’s tunnelling work resumed from Bowbazar on Tuesday, more than five months after one of the tunnel-boring machines (TBMs) hit an aquifer and triggered subsidence in the congested area. Around 700 residents had to be evacuated after cracks appeared — a few of them collapsed thereafter — in several buildings.
