Fake cheques: Thieves siphon off Rs 23L from KSLU

The Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) has lost nearly Rs 23 lakh to thieves who encashed some 21 fake cheques bearing forged signatures of the in-charge finance officer and former registrar. The fraud was discovered on Wednesday evening during routine verification of accounts at the university.
