Kolkata: Refused by hospitals, cancer patient dies

Several hospitals in the city continue to turn away patients, leaving even critical ones without treatment. A 70-year-old cancer patient was refused admission by multiple hospitals last Thursday, leading to his death late that night. TOI had reported how the patient’s relatives, including a doctor, had struggled to secure a bed for him, but in vain.
