KMC to showcause 30 doctors who went ‘missing’

As many as 30 civic doctors, who have gone ‘missing’ amid the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, will be issued showcause notices by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation’s health department. Sources said on Wednesday that the mayor and the KMC commissioner were peeved that 20% of the doctors were not reporting for duty at KMC clinics, when they were needed the most and have decided to take action if they are unable to justify their absence.
