Kolkata: ACP loses fight against coronavirus

Assistant commissioner of police Uday Shankar Banerjee (54) died of Covid on Friday. He is the senior-most officer in Kolkata Police to lose the fight against the virus. He became the ninth policeman in the city and the 18th in Bengal to succumb to Covid-19. His wife, too, is Covid positive but stable.
