Rise in catch may bring down hilsa retail price

Prices of hilsa promise to dip due to a dramatic rise in catch with the east-wind, accompanied by drizzling at the confluence of the river Hooghly and Bay Bengal, making hilsa Hooghly-bound. After a long dry spell, the catch of Hilsa started improving from Monday. On Wednesday, the catch was 55,000kg, the highest catch this season.
