West Bengal: Arrested for brawl murder, teen blames chant ordeal

A 19-year-old youth was arrested on Monday for a murder committed last Tuesday that police said was the result of a drunken brawl. Accused Md Kabir, however, said he was acting in self-defence after being forced to chant ‘Jai Sri Ram’ by victim Suraj Bhadur (24) at Asansol’s Sher Talao locality.
