Alipore zoo takes guard to save tigers from Covid

With a tiger testing positive for Covid-19 at Bronx Zoo in New York, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in India has issued instructions to chief wildlife wardens of all states, including Bengal, to observe the big cats, both in the wild and in zoos for possible symptoms. The thrust, officials said, will be on to minimise the risk of spread from humans to animals.
