Cops shift unorganized markets to check crowding

On a day CM Mamata Banerjee ordered police to post officers at markets to ensure social distancing, Lalbaazar has taken a bold decision to shift some of the biggest unorganized markets to nearby parks and grounds in order to control the access. In addition, commissioner Anuj Sharma has also asked OCs and additional OCs to personally monitor the markets within their jurisdiction. Any crowding, warned the top police brass, will lead to the closure of the markets for a few days.
