Face shields: Schoolmates join hands with artisans

Three schoolmates settled abroad and in other cities have designed a face shield that could serve as a foolproof protection for all frontline health workers fighting the pandemic. The group, which includes two engineers, one an IIT-Kharagpur alumni and the other from Jadavpur University, has teamed up with Kumartuli artisans to produce protective equipment. And the South Asian Medical Students Association (SAMSA) is getting them across to healthcare workers in Kolkata.
