Kolkata doctors search for predictive treatment

A team of doctors in the city is racing against the clock to create a predictable model on Covid-19 patients that will enable health workers at hospitals to not only identify which ones require admission for treatment when numbers rise and resources become scarce, but also create markers in a patient’s clinical data that can alert healthcare workers on the need to shift the person to an intensive therapy unit or a high dependence unit.
