Assam fulfills a dad'sdream to gift gold

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday distributed financial assistance of Rs 40,000 to each of 587 newly wed brides to purchase one tola of gold under the BJP-led state government’s innovative scheme to help poor parents to fulfill their dream of giving the auspicious metal as gift to their daughters on their marriage.
