Kolkata adds 60 more hosp beds in virus season

Even as access to treatment facilities remains restricted in the city amid the pandemic, Kolkata is set to have 60 more beds, including a new hospital. While Techno Global Hospital — a multispecialty centre — was launched last week at Salt Lake with 40 beds, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital (NSCBCH) flagged off a 20-bedded haemato-oncology centre on the occasion of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) day on Tuesday, that will offer treatment and procedures for blood cancer at an affordable cost.
