'Stop random use of antibiotics in Covid treatment'

The state government has issued an advisory asking doctors treating Covid-19 patients not to use antibiotics randomly. The advisory issued jointly by the director of health service (DHS) Ajay Chakraborty and director of medical education (DME) Debashis Bhattacharya stated that since Covid-19 is a viral disease, antibiotics per se have no role in it.
