West Bengal issues 11-pt Durga Puja guideline

An 11-point guideline laying down the ‘new-normal’ rules for Durga Puja was issued by the state on Monday, specifying that the festival will be spaced out over eight days beginning Tritiya to ensure adherence to physical distancing norms through staggered pandal-hopping. It also made masks and hand sanitizer compulsory for all revellers and sought more volunteers to prevent crowd build-up at venues and during rituals.
