Tax & power bill relief for Puja committees

The state government has decided to grant Rs 50,000 each to around 27,000 Puja committees, a 50% deduction on power bills and several fee waivers, apart from enforcing a host of safety measures, chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced on Thursday.
