ASI’s daughter jumps to death at Amherst Street

A 13-year-old Class-VII student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a 11-storey building around 12.50pm on Tuesday. The incident was reported from the Amherst Street Police Housing Estate. The girl’s father — an assistant sub-inspector posted in the headquarter force at Lalbazar — rushed to the NRS Hospital, where the news of his daughter’s death was told to him.
