Covid victims' last rites: KMC to seek ICMR advice

Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will approach the ICMR for advice after the Calcutta high court on Wednesday ruled that the family of a Covid-19 victim should be allowed to perform the last rites — calling it akin to a fundamental right — but stressed that infection-limiting measures must be strictly adhered to.
