‘Ensuring distancing during tarpan a challenge’

Lalbazar is likely to issue an advisory towards the middle of this week on how to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja and Mahalaya — both of which fall on September 17. The deliberations for police arrangements were kicked off on Saturday with the police stations and traffic guards manning the ghats being asked to prepare a plan of action as hundreds are expected to line up to offer ‘tarpan’.
