Kol: Man assaulted over neighbour’s ‘Covid death’

The death of a neighbour — suspected by a section of locals due to Covid — led to another neighbour assaulting a 25-year-old man. The victim, identified as Biswanath Roy and a resident of Chaulpatty Road, claimed he was assaulted by his neighbours when he saw that the dead body was being kept in the open right outside his residence for people to pay their last respects.
