Kolkata: Science City in acute fund crunch

Faced with acute funds crunch due to zero earnings for over five months, Science City -- the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent -- has appealed to the Union cultural ministry for a one-time grant of Rs 7.5 crore to tide over the crisis. The latter has forwarded the proposal to the Union finance ministry for approval.
