Kolkata: Man assaulted for ‘puja subscription’

A private car driver — identified as Ajay Kumar Mishra — residing in the Mullickpur area on the Haridevpur-Narendrapur border has alleged that a local club’s members assaulted him and snatched Rs 18,400 after he refused to pay a huge amount as Kali Puja subscription. Haridevpur cops have registered a case of hurt and snatching. So far, three of the accused have been identified.
