Kolkata: Topsia blaze leaves 250 homeless

A massive fire broke out at Kolkata’s Topsia area around 3.30pm on Tuesday. As many as 60-odd shanties were gutted by the blaze. More than 12 fire tenders had rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Though none was injured, at least 250 slum dwellers became homeless.
