Whistles make a comeback as crowds surge at stns

The only whistles that citizens have woken up to for a while have been those blown by security guards and municipal garbage collectors. But on Wednesday, when suburban train services resumed, neighbourhoods around railway stations, like Ballygunge, Lake Gardens, Dhakuria and Rabindra Sarobar, woke up to the shrill noise of whistles as Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel attempted to maintain order at the stations.
