The proposed entry and exit ramps from Hyde Road near Brace bridge, that will connect to Garden Reach flyover, has been in-principle cleared by the government infrastructure sub-committee. The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) will prepare bid documents and float tenders once the project — with an estimated cost of about Rs 90 crore — gets financial and administrative approval from the state cabinet. The sub-committee will now make some final observations to see if any minor deviation from the original proposed alignment is required.
