New machines to repair battered roads in Kolkata

Motorists can hope to get rid of roller coaster rides in some parts of the city in a couple of months. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is set to press into service modern machines to repair the battered stretches of city’s thoroughfares. Till now, KMC has bought seven machines for the purpose. The civic top brass has decided to operate pothole repairing, milling and paver machines from early December. The civic body’s road department engineers will experiment with the new pothole repairing machine.
