Cyclone Bulbul hits Sunderbans tourism biz hard

Cyclone Bulbul has hit the tourism sector hard at the southern-most region of Bengal on the eve of peak tourism season. The total loss in terms of loss to properties, cost of rebuilding and loss in tourist inflow in the sector alone is estimated to be a few hundred crores, if not more. Majority of hospitality operators said that it would be difficult to complete the rebuilding process before the end of this season.
