East-West Metro set to miss deadline?

With only two weeks left to meet the deadline set by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), East-West Metro is racing against time to complete the formalities if it is to begin truncated commercial operations of the Salt Lake section by November 30. Missing CRS’ deadline is very rare. But should that happen, the authorities, sources said, would be looking at a December date for the much-awaited launch of Kolkata’s Metro Line II.
