1.5k motorists booked in 24 hrs, 20 for drinking

The city partied in style, ringing in the New Year on Tuesday night. Only a few drink-driving cases surfaced, with 20 being registered from Monday till 8pm on Tuesday. Last year, the figure was 45 around the same time. Cops booked over 1,500 motorists till 8pm on Tuesday. Of this, 248 were booked for helmetless riding and 312 for honking.
