Anti-CAA protests to keep Kolkata cops on toes

The city police is bracing for a busy weekend with the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests now gaining momentum. Leading from the front will be chief minister Mamata Banerjee, who will be holding a public meeting at Park Circus on Friday. The start of next week will also keep cops busy since the CM is scheduled to take part in another rally on December 24. Almost all major parties have announced their programmes — the BJP and the CPM have announced political rallies on August 23, both on RR Avenue.
