Kolkata: Cabby calls woman ‘disabled’, cancels ride

A woman with knee problems was reportedly denied a ride on an app cab at the city airport, where the driver apparently told her he would not let a “physically disabled person board the taxi”. Outraged, the woman, who has to depend on wheelchairs at times for her ailment but is not physically disabled, took to social media, where she recounted her ordeal and wondered if the city was “losing its original caring attitude”.
