Ultadanga flyover blockade over ahead of time

The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) on Sunday conducted tests to check the exact residual strength of the pavement on the Ultadanga flyover’s approaches and to determine the deflection level of the structure. Both flanks were closed to traffic in phases from 6am. But instead of a full-day closure, the VIP Road-bound flank was opened to traffic in the afternoon while the other was thrown open by 4.30pm.
