Kolkata: Students, office-goers left in lurch as autos go off road

Hundreds of passengers, including school children and office-goers, suffered after 800 auto drivers on the Garia-Golpark auto route decided to suspend services for a couple of hours on Thursday over police “excesses” to “force” them to pay up pending traffic fines under the waiver scheme. The auto drivers added the stir will continue until cops suspend the special drive completely.
