Leopard beaten to death in north Bengal

An adult male leopard that had come out of Jaldapara National Park was allegedly beaten to death by villagers in Falakata on Thursday afternoon. The villagers had left the animal severely injured after beating it up with bamboo sticks and other weapons even as helpless foresters stood watching.
