Bengal sees year's first swine flu death

A 55-year-old woman from Kakdweep in South 24 Parganas died of swine flu at CMRI Hospital on Wednesday, becoming the first victim of the H1N1virus in the state this year. Debola Mandal had been admitted with high fever on Sunday. A test at the hospital’s laboratory confirmed the disease and Mandal passed away in the isolation unit.
